Converting from LabVIEW 2010 to 2013, the run-time window shows a left-over and inactive menu and scroll bars.

I am beginning the transition from LabVIEW 2010 to 2013 and thought all was going well until I looked at the Run-Time window. It should have a custom menu and no scroll bars (which it does) but it also still shows inactive scrool bars and the original menu from the working front panel. WhaT am I doing wrong?

Try disabling AERO in windows, or selecting a different theme.

The computer is a Windows 8, Lenova Ultrabook. Changing the Windows theme WHILE the VI is running does sometimes make the problem disappear, but it comes back as soon as I stop and restart the VI. Turning off unnecessary animations and removing background images (the closest I can find to disabling AERO in Windows 😎 has no effect on this problem.

Is there a diff between using Clasic controls and Modern?  You might try installing Classic Shell (third party Windows 8 for adding legacy features).  YMMV.
