It should be.
Make a backup copy. Then open the VI from LV7. If there area any incompatiblities it will either warn you or show a broken run arrow. Clicking on the arrow will produce a list of errors that need to be fixed. You may also need to check VISA version compatiblity. (I have not used GPIB recently so I am not sure what changes may have been made).
