Communication problem between cRIO and host-PC using shared variables

Hi,

I am trying to set up communication between a cRIO and my computer.

I am using shared variables to transfer the data but they wont work. When I view the value of the shared variable in the distributed system manager, I see that it is updated if I use the control.

Only the value of the shared variable on my host PC is updated the value of the shared variable on the cRIO remains the same.

How is this possible as this is the same shared variable?

prtscr is in attachment.

Best regards,

Jasper Beurms

Where are you intending your shared variables to be hosted? It looks like you are hosting the same shared variable on both the cRIO and PC, so you effectively have two completely different copies. Writing to one will not effect the other.

What you want to do is decide where you want the shared variables to exist and only deploy to that system. If you want the shared variables to only be availible even if the host is not running, deploy them on the cRIO.
