Can two standalone NI-DAQmx application read a virtual channel at same time

Two standalone NI-DAQmx application need to read same virtual channels from same hardware at different frequency at same time. Is this possible?

Can you at least post what you figured out so that if someone comes along later asking the same question, they will find their answer here?

This is not possible since when one application is running the source is reserved so that the second application can not read it.
