Can the Online Evaluation access local ports?

I'm running the Online Evaluation ver 8.6.  Can this access any local ports - hardware such as serial RS232?

If it could I'd get real worried. You can always download the evaluation so you can install it locally, or order a CD if you can't handle the large download.

I understand what you mean, but it already access eth0 through the VMware PCI Ethernet adaptor, so how is access to other ports prevented?

Also, Device Manager shows the other ports as available.

Well, you should have gotten your answer from the other thread you posted in. All you're seeing is the VMWare that's running on the remote server.

Yeah, I did kind of.  I was hoping something might have tunneled through somehow.  I should have realized too that the network access was through the remote server also.  Thanks!
