I might be mistaken, but I believe the abort button has to be visible on the LabVIEW toolbar in order for Ctrl - . to work.

The abort button wasn't visible and tue "Ctl ." worked in my case...

"ctrl ." is a run time short taht presses the stop button cut so if you have disabled those, it will not work.
