CO2 Sensor RS232 Driver

Hello,

I'm developing a project in LabView which meaursures pressure and CO2 for analysis. I already have something working for pressure. I have a Resprionics LoFlo CO2 sensor which uses RS232 and a message based prototcol. Before I sit down and create a driver for this from scrath, does anyopne have one they would like to share please?

Hey Steve,

Just stumbled into this forum thread. Unfortunately, I do not have the LabVIEW drivers you require. However, I wanted to point you towards the "instrument driver network" on the National Instruments website.

http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/

Note that idnet is also accessible by hitting Help > find instrument drivers from within LabVIEW. However, dont be disheartened if you can find the drivers on the website. They may already exist, and just have not been submitted to ni.com yet. Try contacting the device manufaturer directly - I have attained several useful drivers this way.

Best of luck!!

Hi Richard,

Thanks. I've tried both routes without success.  I was hoping that someone may have done something similar but not yet submitted it to the NI driver network.

I'm totally new to LabView and don't really enjoy software developement, I'm an analogue engineering. Having said that I do think Labview is great, and it's never too late to learn new skills!
