Thanks to you and Rolf for pointing me in the right direction. I wonder if you are still really getting error 1097 as the error link is suspiciously disconnected in the 'mysql_real_connect' call in your screen-shot. I still get the error with pointer-sized Integer handles and I suspect that I have another parameter setting wong. It would be very useful if you could verify that you don't get the error and what string & number formats you are using for the other parameters.
I left the error link disconnected so that it would pop up an error dialog if one happened instead of being passed to the handler. The null string in my screenshot is displayed as Hex. I am using the stdcall (winapi) for the dll and have "run in any thread" checked.
