Hi there,
We have a CCD-based (USB interface) spectrometer, who's integration time i want to automate, depending on the amount of light entering the system. If i want a certain wavelength to have, say, 9,000 counts (out of a possible 16,363 values full digital range), then i want to increase or decrease the wavelength accordingly. We have tried using loops and formula nodes, but the system effectively starts cycling, like a proportional controller. I have been considering a PID controller to reduce the cycling etc.
Basically we want to step the integration time up and down according to available light (the system collects sunlight which varies due to cloud etc.) and changing integration/exposure time accordingly will allow us to improve S/N ratios...
Any ideas?
