I have created an exe and an installer and placed them on a network drive. Then I went and installed the exe on different pcs. Now I need to make changes to my original program. So I am guessing I will need to go and uninstall my current version on each pc then install the new version.
My question: Is there an easier way? Can I overwrite the older version and not have to uninstall it?
If you have just made some tweaks to the program, and not changed any of the add-ons, like a new version of DAQ-mx or LV 8 runtime over LV 7.1 runtime, you should be able to just replace the .exe and the associated files that are built when you build the .exe.
I have done this for numerous applications that we have, that way you dont ahve to uninstall and reinstall.
