Building a Simple read/write Can Xnet 9862 project

I am new to labview.  I need to make a project that can send/receive CAN messages.  Using the NI-9862 module with the 9082 chassis.  I finally got MAX and project explorer to detech the 9862 module.  As far as the programming I need to do this...I'm not having any luck.

open the example finder and look for examples regarding XNET…

I pulled up the NI-XNET CAN CompactRIO.lvproj  and in the "how to use this example.txt"  it says to change the chassis to the one I am using. How do I go about this?  In the example the chassis is a cRIO-9116, I have a 9082.
