Build Application with Version Numbers under LabVIEW

I like to create Version numbers for my applications. How can I make them? Can it be done with the application builder?

If you use source code control (SCC) it can do the version numbers for you. I havent found any way to create a version number with application builder.
Look into the SCC its a pretty powerful tool.

The upcoming version (due out in a few weeks) of the OpenG Builder will allow versioning applications. The builder can write this version data to a cluster control's default value on a specified VI's FP during the build, so that the built application can read it. It also allows incrementing a build number each time the application is built.

The LabVIEW App Builder does allow creating versions, when using the "Create Installer" feature (Windows only).

Stay tuned. Visit OpenG.org for more info.
