Am unable to copy /paste portions of vi into another vi. Both 2012.

Solved!

Trying to copy part of a vi into another VI      Acts like a screenshot when pasted   Won't drag/drop either.   Tried to move just a list box by itself.   Same result.

Wondering if anyone has run across?   Any idea's?

Thanks much

Try closing down Labview.  Do you have two different Labview instances running at the same time or is it all in the same instance?

Edit:  From what I can gather, each instance of Labview has its own internal clipboard and if you copy from one instance of Labview to another (different or same version number), the Windows clipboard is used and you only get a picture.

Heads up! NI has moved LabVIEW to a mandatory SaaS subscription policy, along with a big price increase. Make your voice heard.

Feel a little foolish - that had to have been the problem. I restarted the computer and its working now. Thankyou very much !
