A Bit too much

Hello interested LabVIEW User,

If you have a 8bit unsigned integer, convert it to a boolean array, convert it to a cluster, this cluster consists of 9 members (Boolean Array [0] to [8])?!

I think Boolean Array [8] is a Bit too much.

It sounds like a LabVIEW Bug.

When you convert an array (Dynamic size) to a cluster (Static size) you need to tell the transformation routine how big the cluster needs to be. This is set at development time.

Right-click on the "Array to cluster" function and set the cluster size to whatever you want. A cluster is not fitted automatically to size (And cannot be).

9 is the default size for the "Array to Cluster" conversion.

Hope this helps

Shane.

Shane,

You are right!!! But I think 9 is a strange value for standard!?

*** Here is a funny Joke ***

A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost.
He reduces height and spots a man down below.

He lowers the balloon down further and shouts,

"Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"

The man down below says, "Yes, you're in
a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field."

"You must be from a record label", says the balloonist.

"I am", replies the man, "How did you know?"

"Well", says the balloonist, "everything you have told
me is technically correct, but it's no use to anyone".

The man below says, "You must be a recording artist."

"I am", replies the balloonist, "but how did you know?"

"Well", says the man, "you don't know where you are,
or where you're going, but you expect me to be able
to help. You're in the same position you were before
we met, but now it's my fault."

(sub record label and recording artist as you see fit)
