Yes, the AT products are going by the wayside, the text below is the official skinny from Parker.
And unfortunately, I believe you are correct regarding ComServer as just being a communications package with no real motion functionality (I have not yet tinkered with it). I wonder if anyone has stepped in and wrote 3rd party vi's? It may be worth searching on.

Subject: Product Obsolescence Notice
Due to a lack of parts availability and low sales, Parker’s Electromechanical Automation Division will
obsolete the products listed below. In all cases, Electromechanical Automation will accept a last-time
buy for these products up to January 13, 2005, or when component inventory is eliminated, whichever
comes first. After this date, sales will be limited to those products still in Parker inventory.
AT-based and APEX 6000 Series products
Due to lack of components, Parker must obsolete many of the 6000 products. In anticipation of the
component shortage, Parker purchased components to satisfy customer needs for as long as possible. At this
point, we are reaching the end of our component inventory and must pursue an obsolescence strategy. The
products affected are the AT6450 (all versions), AT6400 (all versions), APEX6151, APEX6152, and
APEX6154. All specific accessories will also be made obsolete. Please note that the ZETA6104 is not
affected by this announcement.
Gemini H40 and Gemini Fieldbus Options
All versions of the Gemini H40 power level will be made obsolete. This includes the GV-, GV6-, and
GV6K-H40 and all specific accessories. Also, all fieldbus (DeviceNet and Profibus) options for the Gemini
will be made obsolete, both stepper and servo versions.
Other Products
The other products that will be made obsolete are: ACR1500, OPS1200, CAA3121 and CAA3200, and SMA
amplifiers. All specific options, accessories, and cables will also be made obsolete.

Suggested replacement products are noted where applicable. Please contact Electromechanical Automation’s
Applications Department for assistance with any other cross–reference, compatibility and/or replacement
questions. We apologize for any inconvenience this decision causes you or your customers. Please take
appropriate action with any customers affected.
