6535b 8255 handshake. Setting event and trigger lines.

Hey Folks:

   I'm trying to set up 8255 style handshaking on my PCIe-6535b DIO card. Reading the docs, it seem that PFI 1 is the default Handshake Event line, and PFI 0 is the default Handshake Trigger line. However I see no activity on those lines which makes me think I have to explicitly set those lines. I don't see where I do that. My sub-Vi is attached. If anyone could inform me how to set those lines, I could stop scratching my head as to why there is no activity on those lines.
