64 vs 32 bit Matlab/Labview compatibility?

Hey all,

I have a new Windows 7 (64-bit dual processor) machine running Labview 2009 (32 bit).  I have existing code that includes matlab script nodes, does it matter which version of Matlab (32 bit vs 64 bit) I install if I want these to run?

Thanks

Matt

Hi Munson1027,

I do not believe it will matter on LabVIEW's end. LabVIEW uses ActiveX behind the MATLAB Script Node, so it really depends on how ActiveX facilitates that communication. If you already have a version of MATLAB, I recommended install your current version and giving it a shot. I apologize that I do not have a more concrete answer for you.

32 bit, actually in the ready me file it's write:

Note  The LabVIEW Simulation Interface Toolkit does not support 64-bit versions of the MATLAB application software.

sorry,
