Could someone tell me if there are any functions or modules which can simulate 3D image of a robotic arm and to control the movement of the simulated robotic arm, for example, to control it to extend and recoil. I have looked at Softmotion modules but it is said to carry out motor controls, which does not seem to be what I want. All I want is to control the robot arm by calculating the translation and rotation of each part of the arm.
I have found a similar example https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-2430, but my input is from an external real-time interface via a USB DAQ Device or a CompactRio, and I think I may need a Real-time module to carry out real-time interface. Please correct me if I am wrong.
