hi,   

I am a new user in LabView. I made a VI in LabView (7.1 on WindowsXP) that uses the Data Acquisition I/O device to display the voltage of each cell (there are 128cells). 

The VI does not work and keep showing this error message:
  

 Error -1073807330 occurred at Property Node (arg 2) in VISA Configure Serial Port (Instr).vi->PanelV8.1_cus.vi

 Possible reason(s): 

VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF001E) The specified state of the attribute is not valid, or is not supported as defined by the resource.
 

I have no idea, what is the cause of this problem. Any idea what would cause this?

If you would open VISA Configure Property Node you would see that the second arguement is the baud rate. You have it set for 250000 and that is not a baud rate supported by the UARTs on pc's. It's a very odd rate. Are you sure that is what the instrument uses? If it is, you will probably need a custom serial port for the pc. NI sells boards that support non-standard rates such as the PCI-8430
