Error Code 142016

I have a NXT 2.0 and a Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop running Windows 7.  When I try to connect I get the error code (most of the time) and no connection.  I have read the explanation posted in 2009, but don't know how to find the virtual serial ports mentioned or how to get around the problem.  Until then I am stuck with USB cable.

Does anyone know a solution to this?  Dell points at The NXT driver and Lego points at Dell.

Open up bluetooth settings from the task bar or control panel and see if you can find and connect to the NXT from there. If that works then you can try and connect within labview again.

 

If it doesn't work you can buy one of these:
