LabView 8.2.1...Where do I get Mathscript?

I've installed LabView 8.2.1 from the NI Developer Suite May 2007.  The Help contains docs for MathScript, but I don't seem to have the objects or examples.  Is there somewhere else in the Developer Suite CDs where I can find this feature?

Or do I need to download from ni.com?  If so, where is the link, I am unable to find a Mathscript download for my LabView version.

Thanks!

Hi mikemes,

LabVIEW 8.2.1 pro and full versions both contain MathScript within them so one place to check might be your license manager to see if you have activated the license for MathScript. You should see your version of LabVIEW listed under local licenses. Within that version should be a license with a title along the lines of "Full Development System with MathScript" or "Professional Development System with MathScript." Please make sure there is a solid green square next to your license file. If there is not you can activate your license by selecting the license file and hitting activate from the  menu bar. If your license says "Base Development System" your product does not come with MathScript.

Once your license has been activated there are a couple places to look to see if MathScript is present from within LabVIEW. One is by selecting the tools menu and looking to see if "MathScript Window..." is present. Another would be to create a blank VI, right click on the block diagram to bring up the palette, and browse to programming->structures to see if the MathScript Node is present.

Could you clarify what you mean when you say you do not have the examples? Does that mean they are not located on disk (C😕Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\examples\MathScript)? Or perhaps you can't find them through the LabVIEW software itself?

Regards,

K Scott

help~

I'm using Labview 2009 (version 9.0 32-bit) on Mac. I searched "mathscript" in Help but simply couldn't find it 😞

Should I download mathscript somwhere? I really need to use mathscript for my coherence calculation...

Hi:

I bought the LabVIEW 2015 student edition. I can't find the Mathscript either. Does it come with the Mathscript?

I will really appreciate your help.
