Metis Automation are hiring a software engineer!
We specialist in developing technical software applications using National Instruments LabVIEW for measurement and automation systems for clients in automotive, aerospace, defense and scientific industries. We have a high volume of technically challenging and exciting projects, with high profile clients, and lots of opportunities to learn new skills and technologies.
A typical project would involve meeting with a client to discuss and understand the engineering requirements for a new product or process, then developing a software system specification and quotation for this project. An engineer would then manage a project, including customer meetings, software development and testing, up to installation at the client’s site.
We are looking for engineers with excellent communication skills, and experience of electronics, software development and project management skills. Any project experience developing with LabVIEW or Arduino technologies would be interesting to us.
We place value on key software engineering skills, and the application of these skills to each programming language.
We are based in Ellesmere Port, near Chester, UK. You would need to be in a reasonable commuting distance from our offices.
