Use consistent increment and decrement

Say I have a numeric control on the front panel whose value is 3.8.   If I put my cursor after the six and increment it (using the inc/dec buttons or the arrows) it goes to 3.9, 4, 5, 6.  It should go 3.9, 4, 4.1.

Oops typo.  Put your cursor after the 8

This also happens at the front of the control.  If you place your cursor before 80 it goes to 90, 100, 200.  From 800 to 900, 1000, 2000, etc

The current behavior I think is desirable. To achieve your desired behavior, go to the Numeric properties, and uncheck "Hide Trailing Zeroes". This causes the "bump" actions to be 3.8, 3.9, 4.0, 4.1 and so forth.

I don't know if "desirable" is the term I would use.  Expected perhaps.  But not desirable.  And I don't think unchecking hide trailing zeroes would effect the second case I brought up in my replies
