Multiple Wire Insert

Status: Declined
Already implemented in LabVIEW. Available in LabVIEW 2010.

What if I had this:

Then I wanted to insert something with similar terminals:

I'd end up with this:

But the Error terminals aren't wired! So maybe I should be able to select both wires:

Then Right Click » Insert Write Node:

Then I'd have this:

How easy would that be!?

If you like this Idea, then you are going to want an easier way to select multiple wires at once!

This functionality is now possible with Quick Drop in LabVIEW 2010.  Check out what I have to say about "Smart Insert" here.

It is great to see this feature is completed, however, I have no clue how to make it work.

I'm using LV 2011 and right clicking multimple wires doesn't even open the mene.

I even checked if it is available through quick drop... nothing.

Help please.

It's in the quick drop.  Select your wires, Ctl+Space, type in your desired node, Ctl+I or Ctl+Shift+I

Would it be possible to set back the state of this idea to New?

It has got many kudos and it would be a convenient alternative to the quick drop for all those people like me who don't remember the name of the VI they want to insert.
