Make Invoke Node's Required Input(s) Name as Bold

Status: New

Make Invoke Node's Required Input(s) (text) as Bold (in the Node, and also in the Context Help & Detailed Help), like that of the Required Terminals of s SubVI are displayed in the Context Help window. Smiley Happy

Currently, it is not helping much from a beginner's standpoint, to understand where the error in the VI is. Smiley Sad

Also, the Detailed Help contents are misleading, wherein the Outputs are also termed as 'Required', which it totally wrong. Smiley Mad Fix this as well.

The non-required inputs on invoke nodes have a grey background.

Required outputs would be a great addition in VIs, but more generally in other nodes as well, be it to avoid to be bitten by the usual "wire that happens to pass right below the output, giving the impression that it is connected to it".

EDIT: Actually the link is to a self-duplication of this idea...

To answer your request, another option would be to have a more detailed error message.

BTW, the example you have chosen for illustration is actually pretty bad, since there is no ambiguity as to which input is missing.

That's the problem to be more precise! Instead of hinting/highlighting what is not required, just do the other way round; it'd be much better. Smiley Happy
