Advance docking and anchoring features in Labview front panel editor ...

Status: New

It should be nice to add "Docking" and "Anchoring" features in Labview.

This could help creating "autosizable", professional applications.

For the moment, splitters and "control fitting" is a little poor, comparing to DotNet, Java ...

Anchoring and Docking is a DotNet naming !

So it is not the docking you describe !

Anchroring = Hanging a border or many borders of a visual object to the border of it's container.

Docking = hanging a visual object to the top, bottom, left or right side of it's container ( Or docking center = talking all the place of it's container)

Anchoring and docking are used, in combinaition with splitters in the autogrowing mechanism of forms.

The "controls/indicators" can grow, move in theire container according to the global windows size.

A more powerfull Anchoring mechanism exist also in Java ( Layouts , Percent anchoring ... )
