A Save Icon in the toolbar

Status: New

Since there is a lot of space we can have a save button which will save a click to save the vis. Another addition is to greyout the button when the save is done or an action is reverted back.

 With save button

With save button disabled.

Good one and why not a open file function as well?

Rpr,

Sure you can have. But i will be a little reluctant in flooding the entire toolbar though....

How about allowing users to customize their toolbar and add anything from the menus they want.  Specifically for the save, I hit Ctrl+S so repeatedly and often that sometimes I save unintentionally...  Needless to say the save button wouldn't benift me much...

I agree!  There is a certain value in having Labview becoming more standardized to the way a "window" works.  This could be a Selected Option considering some may not like it.
