Extend Butterworth filter to allow multi-channel 32bit filters

Status: New

A very useful feature of the FPGA Butterworth filter is the ability to use it multiple times, saving FPGA resources.

However this is not possible for 32 bit wide filters, only for 16 bit filters.

It would be useful if the 32bit filters could go multichannel too, at least two channel

32 bits is a lot of bits for FPGA. What are you doing that needs that many bits? But really, I highly recommend the digital filter design toolkit. It lets you do this and much more quite easily. It's really fantastic!

24bits would be enough for my application, and consume less resources, but I think that's less likely to get done by NI than modifying the existing 32 bit filter.
