MIMO Channel estimate in Lab view Communications

Solved!
Go to solution

I am designing 2*2 MIMO using USRP 2952. I need to do beamforming at Transmitter. Do we have any already implemented block in either of the projects/examples which does channel estimate and precoding?

Hi Wired_,

Yeah, a group at Imperial College London created an AoA application. You can check that out:

Here is some other related info:

I seriously doubt AOA and beamforming are same!

AOA is cosidered with respect to an atenna array. So it's like the angel at which anteena array should physically steer power in the direction of the receiver.

Whereas to have beamforming we need to include channel and mutipath effects and form a precoding vector.

Let me know if I am thinking in right direction.

True, but I think it will be your best starting point.

Hi Wired_,

After looking into it further I found a related forum post involving channel estimation.
