At NIWeek, a new framework, CEF was presented. I was one of the first people outside NI to use it. I can do a short presentation on my first impressions, successes, and headaches.

Thanks Aaron for volunteering. Please send me a short presentation description via e-mail so I can prepare the presentation.

I have not found any other presenters, so there is still a small chance that I will have to cancel the meeting, because I don't believe having one presentation is enough to guarant having the meeting.

For the rest of the members of this group,

Do we have any other volunteers out there? If you don't want to present, but there is a topic you would like to hear more about, please either post here or send me an e-mail.

Best regards,

Fab

Thanks for those of you who reached out via e-mail. We have good presentations in the pipeline for 2015. Keep them coming!

Also, we are still looking for food sponsor, so if you or your company would be interested in sponsoring food for this meeting, please let me know.

Hey Burt.

I would like to see how simple it can be to set up some simple jigs and fixtures that turn a motor on and step it a certain distance. Run that program independent of a LabVIEW license. Then progressively add sensors such as distance measurement devices. (I am a manufacturing engineer and I want to introduce/cross pollinate the manufacturing industry)

Long term I plan to use Point Cloud Technology, motion control and learning algorithms to recycle cedar fence pickets into bird houses among other things while I drink beer at the lake. (to start out with)

For the open mic portion, I would be interested in hearing about how people are handling source code control/backup when security/encryption requirements exist.

Aaron
