ibwait(gbib0 0x000) endless loop when opening NI-Spy

Hi,
I have swapped a NI PCI-GPIB in my computer. I have installed the NI-488.3 ver 2.10.
Since then, when I open NI Spy I get an endless loop running messages showed below, although there is nothing running at the background or so.

138888.  ibwait(GPIB0, 0x0000)
Process ID: 0x00000B9C         Thread ID: 0x000006A0
Start Time: 17:30:32.890       Call Duration: 00:00:00.000
ibsta: 0x164       iberr: 0             ibcntl: 0(0x0)
What is the reason for it?
How can I stop it except closing NI-spy or switching to log "off"?
Best regards
Yariv

Hello,

Do you have any programs running which access your GPIB interface?  I would try uninstalling the version of NI-488.2 you currently have, and installing the lastest version supporting your hardware and OS; you can find a link to this in the Hardware-OS chart for NI-488.2 at the following url:

Repost with the results and we'll continue to look at this if necessary!

Best Regards,

Yari,

If NI-Spy is picking up activity, then there must be some process running on your computer that is accessing the GPIB board.  These particular lines that you describe sound like a background LabVIEW program.  I would check your system for such a program.
