You would probably have better luck posting this over in our Data Acquisition (DAQ) Forums, this one is for GPIB instrument control. It would probably also be helpful to post the version of NI-DAQ you have installed, what board you are using, and what you are trying to do with your data acquisition. If you are just getting started with DAQ, check out the example programs that ship with LabVIEW or the ones that are on our website. They will give you a good general idea of how to lay out your VI's.
