I have a LabView Program with GPIB board, trying to communicate with an HP 8510C. I was sure 8510c had been detected in MAX, although it cannot be identified.
I downloaded the HP8510C support lib from the NI website and used it in LabView. However, an error always occurred to VISA OPEN at the very beginning when the program was run. Could you tell me which one I should use as the VISA resource name, GPIB::16(default data) or GPIB:16:instr? Either one seemed to have an error when the program was run. Could you tell me the reason. I sincerely hope to get your explanation because if I cannot run VISA OPEN, any following programs will do have no effect to operate 8510C.
