USB GPIB installation

I am currently using USB GPIB. I installed NI-Max and NI-GPIB. However, almost every time when I plug in the GPIB to the USB port of a computer, it asks me to install a driver. How do I make it not ask for installing a driver ?

Re: USB GPIB installation

Hey L_K,
Could you let me know what version of NI-488.2 you installed. You need a specific version of 488.2 when you are using a USB GPIB device. There is more information in this knowledgbase, in which you can find the specific details about which driver you need to use. Let me know if this helps you out

Re: USB GPIB installation

Just wanted to add that it's best to use the NI-488.2 version 2.52. This will save you some trouble in the future
