Showing a subVI panel which is running pushing a control on the main VI

I have a main VI with a running subVI but I want to show the front panel of the subVI just if I push a control on the main VI. I need It appeares just when I want not to take too much space on the main VI front panel with waveform charts.How can I do?

You need to use VI server. I recommend looking in the user manual for an introduction and then the example programs. There is one particular example program that I think you would be interested in called ghost in the machine.vi . If it is too advanced, there are other examples that demonsttrate the use of VI Server in a simplier fashion.
