Serial port not read in stand-alone app

Hello

I have a small LabView 7.1 application that reads via VISA from COM1. It works fine in the LV programming environment. However, when I compile it to a stand-alone application using the Application Builder, it fails to read. OS is XP, User is Admin.

Is there any additional setting which I have to check for a serial stand-alone?

Did you include the serial VISA run-time engine when you created the installer? If the answer is no or you have no idea what I'm talking about, in the app builder, click the Installer Settings tab, select Create Installer, and then click the Advanced button. Check the Serial Port Support box to include VISA in the installation of your app.
