Ruggeduino With Labview for Production Enviroment?

We are looking at the Arduino and LabVIEW option for a large scale production enviroment, however, I'm a little worried about the protection of the Arduino.

I've recently seen the Ruggeduino by Rugged Circuits (http://www.ruggedcircuits.com/ruggeduino) and I'd like to know if the Ruggeduino will work with LabVIEW. The circuitry looks very similar, however the drivers are slightly different. I belive the opperation is the same, and the Ruggeduino will still enumerate as a COM port.

Anyone have experience with the Ruggeduino and LabVIEW?

From what I read, just go ahead, but it also has the same problems in programming as the ARDUINO, NO EASY DEBUGGING AND NO PROTECTION FOR GETTING OUT OF MEMORY,
