I have written a VI to aquire data from a balance, this is my first VI, so please go easy! I have included a stop button on the while loop, however, it doesn't stop. Around the while loop I have an event structure, without this the stop button works, any ideas?

I can't look at your VIs since I don't have 7.1 yet but if you have an event structure outside of a while loop, then it's in the wrong place. The event structure belongs inside the loop. Look again at the shipping examples or post your VIs as 7.0.
