We have a simple vi developed on a Windows LabView platform that collects data through a serial port, and a customer who would like us to deploy the program for use on his PowerBook. According to NI the only way we can deploy a LabView app to a Mac OS and have access to serial port communications is to buy LabView for Mac with the Application builder (VirtualPC will not support Windows calls to the serial port), which is a hefty investment for a small project.
Is there any chance anyone has a low cost workaround to this situation, or knows someone who has LabView for Mac OS with the Application builder, who would be willing (for a reasonable fee) to build an application for us if we email over a vi?
