Just curious. Has anyone on this list tried using the GPIB drivers
provided by the Linux-GPIB project?
I suggested to one user on this list that he use it as an alternative to
NI's driver. I'm not entirely sure if it's ready to be a drop-in
replacement but it may be useful when trying to debug hardware issues with
the GPIB controller, especially on Linux. I've used it with my NI
PCI-GPIB+ controller under LabVIEW 7.0 for Linux. I worked quite well for
my needs.
BTW, if there's no interest, I won't mention it again. It could be poor
_netiquette_ to be talking about an open source alternative to NI's driver
on NI's own newsgroup. Don't want to step on toes 😉
