Newport Motion Controller

Hi,
I have bought ESP 300 (motion controller) from Newport for stepper motor. I have written labview code to control it. Mostly it's working; however, I am not able to find out the velocity. Whenever I am trying to find that out, I am getting "0".

I am using stacked sequence to accomplish this. In first, I am giving the command to move and in next, I am asking the velocity.

If any of you have used Newport motion controller and know the solution, please let me know.
