NI IVI Compliance Package Data

On my development station I exported my configuration file in MAX (5.3.1) to a configdata file.  It contain an IVI Compliance Package data (4.5).

I now ported the configdata file over to my target (MAX 5.5) and tried to import it but get an error to the effect that the compliance pkg is not installed or an older version is installed.  If I go to MAX on the target, Compliance Pkg  4.6 is listed under the SW catagory.  Can't Ver 4.6 read in the config from Ver 4.5??  The machine is a test set and not on the network.

Clint1000,

The IVI Compliance Package is designed to be backwards compatible. See if you are following these steps: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/8425DA9C78C0712A86256F0300810986

Could you please provide a MAX technical report for the target system and the development system that would help troubleshoot this issue? Instructions to create a technical support report can be found here:

Mr. Anderson,

The 1st link you provided gives me an error:

"HTTP Web Server: Lotus Notes Exception - Entry not found in index".  So before I give an error report I should look at the knowledgebase link you gave me to see fi I'm doing it right.  ...correct?

Additional info if it helps:

1) I've done the import to other machines w the older version of MAX w/o trouble.  because I didn't have a problem I never looked to see what version of the compliance pkg I had on those target machines.

Does the older ver of MAX have anything to do w the IVI Comp pkg error??

What exactly is the IVI comp pkg??  If I only need it for simulations then I don't need to load..I think...I do use IVI for one of my (3rd party) PXI cards that I have in a National 1062 Chassis. ( 8101 controller, LV2012, Windows7)

Thanks...

Try it this time: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/8425DA9C78C0712A86256F0300810986

It's very possible that having mismatching versions of both NI MAX and IVI Compliance Package is causing issues. I would recommend updating both computers to the same versions of the IVI Compliance Package, the same version of NI MAX, or both.
