NI 488.2 - 3.1.1 installation error (windows 7)

Hello,

I tried to install the NI 488.2 driver to connect an GPIB-USB-HS device on my computer.

All my try were unsuccessful (execute as administrator, desactivate my antivirus software,...).

The joined messages appeared.

I can't open *.7z files so i don't know what king of error message poped up while trying to install NI 488.2. 

Is there any previous version of this driver already installed on your computer ? In this case, try to uninstall the driver and run again the 3.1.1 installer.

Did you download the driver from our website ?

Could you try running the installer in windows Xp SP3 mode ? you can set this by right clicking on the installer, selecting "proprties menu"  and going to "compatibility" section, Here is what it looks like (on a French windows 7 64 bits).

Hello,

You should be able to install NI-488.2 3.1.1 on Windows 7 64-bit without doing anything special.

Can you post the installation log?

I fixed the problem. It was because there are multiple administator rights in my company.

I cannot install software which modify the windows low level library or other.

Hi,

I've the same problem with the same error messages, also when logged in as adminsitrator. My company is using Win7 32bit.

Is there any workaround how the drivers can be installed?
