Modem Comms won't work the second time

Howdie there folks,

I'm having a bit of a problem, I need to transmit small text files over a modem link so I found the "Transferring Logged Data from the FP-20xx through Serial Modem Communication" programs at

I can hook up the two machines and the transmission will work the first time but when I try to run it again the modems don't respond. I think that its got something to do with the closing of the comms port because when I run it the second time it says it fails to initialise. To get it working again I have to close down labView and run it again.

Any help would be appreciated

Make sure the serial ports have been properly closed when finshing the vi's! Even in case of an error the close_port should be performed.
