I need to set my HP 34401A's input impedance to >10G through GPIB

Hi NI Community,

I am working on a project where I need to set my HP 34401A's input impedance to >10G through GPIB. The only option I have found for this is to set the input inpedance to auto, but since I am working with low voltage ranges the DMM always sets its impedance to 10M. So is there a way I can force the multimeter to have an input impedance of >10G with GPIB?

Thank you,

soroxis

As the manual says, you get >10G with Auto on but only for the 100mV, 1V, and 10V ranges.

This isn't a question that should have posted to NI's site.

Sorry, I solved my issue. I misunderstood my problem which was that the MEAS:VOLT:DC? command reset the auto when issued. I thought that I was having a range problem because the input impedance continually switched back to 10M.

Thank you for your response.
