I am trying to run the INSTALL file

'/INSTALL: line 8: `recomp_help(){. Any idea??? file obtained from nigpib-linux-0.8.5.tar.gz under linux RedHat 8.0 with kernel 2.4.20-20.9 and I got a series of error. In particular,
: command not found
': not a valid identifier: `PATH
: command not found
'/INSTALL: line 8: syntax error near unexpected token `{
'/INSTALL: line 8: `recomp_help(){


Any idea???

The NI-GPIB 0.8.5 has been tested with RedHat 8.0 so it should work. I would suggest looking at the instructions again to see if there is somehthing that you missed. Let me know if you are still having problems and I will see what I can do.
