How does the HTBasic REMOTE command work?

I am trying to understand what exactly the REMOTE and CLEAR commands in HTBasic actually do in GPIB communication.

I figure REMOTE sets the REN line and CLEAR performs a selected device clear (SDC).

Does anyone know if this is correct or if these functions also include other actions such as IFC etc.?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: How does the HTBasic REMOTE command work?

I don't think you realize that National Instruments is not the vendor of HT Basic. A company called TransEra is. I suppose the similarity of the two company names is confusing.
