How do I remove auto queries for instruments when VISA Interactive Control is started?

I am using NI-VISA for scope communications.
After installing the LeCroy VICPPassport, I now get additional searches
...
26. viFindNext (0x00153E98,"VICP::::INSTR")
Process ID: 0x00000C54 Thread ID: 0x00000EB4
Start Time: 17:49:56.638 Call Duration: 00:00:00.000
Status: 0 (VI_SUCCESS)

27. viOpen (0x00153B00,"VICP::::INSTR",0 (0x0),0 (0x0),0x0015B0E0)
Process ID: 0x00000C54 Thread ID: 0x00000EB4
Start Time: 17:49:56.638 Call Duration: 00:00:12.281
Status: 0x3FFF007D (VI_SUCCESS_DEV_NPRESENT)

28. viGetAttribute (0x0015B0E0,0xBFFF00E9,0x00A24402)
Process ID: 0x00000C54 Thread ID: 0x00000EB4
Start Time: 17:50:08.919

and the Interactive Control crashes with "... referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read.

How can I remove this last search (thinking that that causes the problem).

Martin,

What version of NI-VISA do you have installed? You can find this information in the Measurement and Automation Explorer by expanding the Software folder and selecting NI-VISA in the tree.

Unfortunately that passport was written by LeCroy, and it appears you have found a bug in their passport. You may want to contact LeCroy to see if there is a newer version of the passport available, or if they have a workaround for this problem.
