Get Primary Error hex 0xBFFF000 when running tkds30xx example

I am writing code to control a TDS3014B O'scope via GPIB. I downloaded the CVI/LabWindows driver from the NI website. It has an example program. When I try to run the example, I get a Primary Error hex 0xBFFF0000. I can communicate with the scope via the NI Explore GPIB. The NI Spy shows no activity on the GPIB bus. If I run the example in Simulate mode, I do not get the error.

Do you have the I/O drivers installed? NI-VISA and NI-488? I would guess you need to install these. You can download them from NI's web site.

Noel, Thanks, I needed to install the NI-VISA and IVI packages. I'm cooking now.
