GPIB-USB-B Query error, iberr = EABO, I/O Timeout 1000s, PCI-GPIB works

When comes the error?

Software:
WinXp Service Pack 1
NI-488.2 V2.3
NI-VISA V3.2

The error comes some seconds after the Query e. g. a calibration start of an instrument.

with PCI-GPIB it works. It seem the setting ot the timeout does not work.
This happens with all of our PC's.
